The Chicago Cubs and the Colorado Rockies face off on Tuesday at Wrigley Field for game two of their series.

The Chicago Cubs and their fans haven’t had a lot of chances to cheer this season but they go one on Monday as the beat the Rockies. Emilio Bonifacio had two hits and Anthony Rizzo and Starlin Castro each had hits as the Cubs scored four runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher Tsuyoshi Wada allowed five hits and a run while striking out six over 7.0 innings to get the win and go to 1-1 for the season and Hector Rondon earned his 13th save. For Tuesday’s game the Cubs start Edwin Jackson who has lost his last four decisions. For the season Jackson has allowed 131 hits and 74 earned runs while striking out 104 over 115.2 innings for a 5-11 record and a 5.76 ERA.

Chicago is 2-5 against a left-handed starter, 2-7 against the NL West, and 1-11 in Jackson’s last 12 starts against the NL West. Colorado is 15-38 in their last 53 games, 4-14 against the NL Central, and 42-15 in De La Rosa’s last 57 starts against a team with a losing record. Colorado is 7-20 in their last 27 meetings in Chicago.

I expect some scoring and my free pick is going to be the over. My stronger play is on the winning side and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as on the App.
