The Houston Astros fought the good fight but they couldn’t get the winning run even in position to score as the lost to the Phillies. Jose Altuve, Jonathan Singleton, and Marwin Gonzalez all had hits as the Astros scored one run on six hits. Starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel allowed five hits and a run while striking out four over 7.0 innings to get a no decision and Jake Buchanan took the loss. For Wednesday’s game the Astros start Brad peacock who has lost two of his last three starts. For the season Peacock has allowed 91 hits over 87.2 innings for a 3-7 record and a 4.93 ERA.

Philadelphia is 5-10 in their last 15 home games, 10-26 in their last 36 interleague games, and 1-4 against the AL West. Houston is 4-2 in their last six games, 1-7 in their last eight interleague games, and 2-5 in Peacock’s last seven starts. Houston is 0-6 in their last six games in Philadelphia.

This is a bad game with two bad teams so expect a lot of runs and I give the edge to the home team.
