The Chicago White Sox and the Toronto Blue Jays face off on Saturday in Chicago for game two of their series.
The Chicago White Sox jumped all over the Blue Jays on Friday getting the win and making it look easy. Jose Abreu and Adam Dunn each had three hits and Alexei Ramirez was among those having two hits as the White Sox scored 11 runs on 17 hits. Starting pitcher Hector Noesi allowed eight hits and five runs while striking out for over 5.0 innings to get the win and go to 7-8 for the season. For Saturday’s game the White Sox start John Danks who has been hit hard in each of his last five starts. For the season Danks has allowed 160 hits and 81 earned runs while striking out 100 over 147 innings for a 9-8 record and a 4.96 ERA.

The Toronto Blue Jays are trying to say in the post-season hunt but they didn’t help themselves on Friday as they were pounded in Chicago. Melky Cabrera hit a home run and Adam Lind and Dioner Navarro each had two hits as the Blue Jays scored five runs on nine hits. Starting pitcher Marcus Stroman got shelled allowing five hits and five runs while lasting just two-thirds of an inning to take the loss and fall to 7-4 for the season. For Saturday’s game the Blue Jays start mark Buehrle who has cooled off since his hot start. For the season Buehrle has allowed 171 hits and 5 earned runs while striking out 89 over 149.1 innings for an 11-8 record and a 3.31 ERA.
Chicago is 6-2 against the AL East, 3-6 in their last nine games, and 8-3 in Danks’ last 11 starts as an underdog. Toronto is 7-3 in their last 10 games as a favorite, 3-10 in their last 13 games, and 9-1 in Buehrle’s last 10 starts against the AL Central. Toronto is 2-6 in their last eight games in Chicago.
This one is a coin flip and I will give it to the White Sox who are at home here.
