The Baltimore Orioles hope to continue their winning ways in game two of their series with the Chicago White Sox.
The Baltimore Orioles have been clearly the best team in the American League East but I've seen this team go cold before and there is too much season to be played so anything can happen. It was all good Tuesday with some late scoring leading to an 8-2 victory in the opener versus the White Sox. Starter Bud Norris allowed two runs on three hits over seven innings pitched. The Orioles rode the long ball with Nick Markakis, JJ Hardy and Nelson Cruz each going deep. Chris Tillman hopes to continue his strong pitching when he faces the Chicago White Sox Tuesday. Tillman has been outstanding the last three times out where he has gone 2-0 with a 1.74 ERA.

I don't see the Chicago White Sox being able to do much challenging in the American League Central with 2014 maturing. I do see a bright future for this team although they are still going through some growing pains. Tuesday's defeat was a 3-2 game until the pen was hit hard but starter Chris Sale gave up just three runs in six frames with three relievers giving up five runs in the 8th that put this one out of reach. The White Sox were held to three hits and didn't walk with Avisail Garcia rapping a two run single. Left hander Jose Quintana takes the hill versus the Baltimore Orioles in game two of their series. Quintana has been a strong member of the rotation with a 6-9 record despite a solid 3.14 ERA.
Quintana is a pretty good pitcher but for some reason he doesn't get a lot of support which has me looking at Tillman and Baltimore...
