The Chicago White Sox and he Cleveland Indians face off on Wednesday in Chicago for game two of their series.
The Chicago White Sox once again hit the ball on Tuesday but also once again their bullpen couldn’t get it done and they took the loss. Alexei Ramirez hit a home run, Avisail Garcia had two hits, and Jose Abreu added a hit as the White Sox scored six runs on 10 hits. Starting pitcher Jose Quintana allowed nine hits and six runs while striking out three over 5.0 innings to get a no decision as Matt Lindstrom blew the save and Jacob Petricka took the loss. For Wednesday’s game the White Sox start Hector Noesi who took the loss in his last start. For the season Noesi has allowed 128 hits and 62 earned rus while striking out 94 over 127 innings for a 7-8 record and a 4.39 ERA.

The Cleveland Indians fought hard until the end and go the win in Chicago in extra innings. Zach Walters hit a home run and Michael Bourn, Jason Kipnis, and Mike Aviles each had two hits as he Indians scored eight runs on 14 hits. Starting pitcher T.J. House allowed seven hits and five runs while striking out four over 4.2 innings to not get a decision as Scott Atchison blew the save and Bran Shaw got the win. For Wednesday’s game the Indians start Corey Kluber who has been the Indians best pitcher this year. For the season Kluber has allowed 159 hits and 51 earned runs while striking out 2-5 over 186.1 innings for a 13-7 record and a 2.46 ERA.
Chicago is 1-5 in their last six home games, 0-7 in their last seven games, and 5-2 in Noesi’s last seven stats. Cleveland is 5-1 in their last six road games, 10-4 in their last 14 games, and 4-1 in Kluber’s last five starts. Cleveland is 1-4 in their last five games in Chicago.
The White Sox are not playing well and facing Kluber isn’t going to help so the play here is the Indians.
