The Cleveland Indians have had a rough time recently in Chicago and that trend continued on Wednesday as they lost to the White Sox. Lonnie Chisenhall hit a home run and Michael Bourn and Roberto Perez each had two hits as the Indians scored two runs on seven hits. Starting pitcher Corey Kluber allowed nine hits and three runs while striking out eight over 6.1 innings to take the loss and fall to 13-8 for the season. For Thursday’s game the Indians start Carlos Carrasco who has won his last two decisions. For the season Carrasco has allowed 65 hits and 29 earned runs while striking out 79 over 83 innings for a 5-4 record and a 3.14 ERA.
Chicago is 9-17 against the AL Central, 6-16 in their last 22 games, and 0-4 in Danks’ last four starts. Cleveland is 5-2 in their last seven road games, 10-5 in their last 15 games, and 5-15 in Carrasco’s last 20 starts. Cleveland is 1-5 in their last six games in Chicago.
The White Sox have played the Indians tough and I look for them to do it again here.
