The Line: Los Angeles Dodgers +120 / Washington Nationals -130 --- Over/Under: 8 See the Latest Odds
The Washington Nationals conclude their series with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday afternoon.
The Washington Nationals have some breathing room in the National League East but I'm sure they want to wrap up the division as soon as possible so nothing out of the ordinary doesn't happen. Their problem was running in to Clayton Kershaw Tuesday with the result being a 4-1 defeat. Doug Fister allowed all four runs (three earned) on ten hits over five innings to fall to 12-6. The offense stalled on three hits and a pair of BB with Bryce Harper slugging homer number eleven. Washington turns to Jordan Zimmermann on the hill who takes on the Los Angeles Dodgers for the second time this year. Overall Zimmermann is 10-5 with a 2.93 over 27 outings where the Nats have gone 18-7.

The Los Angeles Dodgers looked like they were going to pull away from San Francisco to claim the National League West but that hasn't happened with the Giants playing their best baseball which makes every game crucial. Clayton Kershaw continued to amaze with yet another strong performance with the lone run plated through eight innings to up his record to 17-3. The Dodgers posted eleven hits with Juan Uribe cracking a two run bomb with Adrian Gonzalez driving in another. Los Angeles hadn't listed a starter but could be going with right hander Carlos Frias so please check back to verify.
I don't know enough about Frias to make an informed decision here if he does get the start so I have to go with what I know...
