The Cincinnati Reds travel to Miller Park to face the divison rival Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.

The Cincinnati Reds never made the big run to position themselves for a shot at the National League Central. They were a thorn in the sides of the hated Cardinals with three straight victories that was capped off by a 1-0 decision over the Redbirds on Thursday. Johnny Cueto continues to be a bright spot in 2014 as he improved to 18-8 on eight scoreless innings while striking out eight. The offense posted three hits with Ramon Santiago plating Brandon Philips with the only run. Veteran Mat Latos gets the call to the mound versus the Milwaukee Brewers to open the series. Latos gave up three unearned runs in a 4-3 loss to the Mets over six innings of a 4-3 defeat.

The Milwaukee Brewers looked like they were going to run away with the National League Central early on but things have taken a turn for the worse the past several weeks that has left the Brew Crew dropping from first to third. Ryan Braun and Matt Clark paced the scoring with solo jacks while Aramis Ramirez and Scooter Gennett recorded RBI hits. Kyle Loshe looks to reverse his fortunes when he opposes the visiting Cincinnati Reds on Friday night. Lohse has been hit hard the last two times out with 12 runs plated on 13 hits in 9.2 innings pitched.

This looks like a toss up and nothing that happens should be a surprise. Lohse has been struggling but has been solid versus Cincinnati so...
