The Los Angeles Angels have been red hot throughout the season with hot streaks far outnumbering the skids in both quantity and length. The Angels stayed on a roll with their 10th win a row on Saturday behind solid hitting and pitching. This was vintage Jered Weaver on the hill with a run plated on four hits while striking out 12 through seven innings. The LAA racked up eleven hits and four bases on balls with Mike Trout going 3-3 with a pair of solo jacks and three runs. The Angels are scheduled to send Hector Santiago to the hill against the Houston Astros for the second time in 2014. Santiago has been solid over his last three outings where he has gone 2-0 with a 3.45 ERA.
I think the Astros have the pitching advantage but Santiago has been dependable. It seems that going against the Angels is akin to stepping in front of a truck right now...
