The Cleveland Indians look like they will come up short of the post season but they should finish over .500 as they helped that cause on Wednesday with a win. Michael Brantly, Tyler Holt, and Yan Gomes each had two hits as the Indians scored two runs on seven hits. Starting pitcher Carlos Carrasco went the distance allowing two hits and striking out 12 to get the win to go to 8-5 for the season. For Thursday’s game the Indians start Danny Salazar who has won two of his last three decisions. For the season Salazar has allowed 104 hits and 46 earned runs while striking out 103 over 98 innings for a 6-7 record and a 4.22 ERA.
Houston is 5-2 in their last seven home games, -3 in game four of a series, and 4-9 in Feldman’s last 13 starts. Cleveland is 7-2 as a favorite, 2-4 in their last six road games, and 3-7 in Salazar’s last 10 road starts. Cleveland is 10-2 in the last 12 meetings of these two.
I am not expecting much offense here and my free pick is the under.
