The Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees meet for game two of their AL East series on Friday night.
The Toronto Blue Jays dropped Thursday’s game 3-2 as starting pitcher R.A. Dickey pitched six innings allowing two runs on five hits to not factor in the decision and reliever Aaron Sanchez was tagged with the loss pitching just a third of an inning in the bottom of the ninth. Jose Bautista hit his 33rd HR of the season to drive in the team’s only two runs as the Blue Jays mustered just five hits on the night. Jose Reyes had two hits and scored a run in the loss.

Mark Buehrle will make the start for Toronto on Friday night looking to continue a solid campaign. Buehrle enters this contest with a WHIP of 1.38 and ERA of 3.40 while posting a 12-9 record on the year. The veteran lefty has been at his best on the road with a 2.82 ERA over 14 starts but has struggled against the Yankees with an ERA of 6.65 over four starts.
The New York Yankees delivered a walk off win on Thursday night as Shane Greene pitched 6.2 innings of scoreless ball to not factor in the decision and David Robertson picked up a win pitching a scoreless ninth. The Yankees had eight hits in the win as Derek Jeter had two hits including his fourth HR of the season, Stephen Drew had two hits and an RBI, and Chase Headley had a hit and scored a run.
Hiroki Kuroda will make the start for New York on Friday in what has been a consistent if not overly impressive campaign. Kuroda enters this game with a WHIP of 1.17 and ERA of 3.81 while posting a 10-9 record. Kuroda has been a victim of the long ball pitching at home with 13 HR allowed in 16 starts and a 4.11 ERA in the Bronx. Kuroda has also struggled against Toronto with an ERA of 5.25 across two starts this year.
The Blue Jays look deflated right now but at plus odds they are my lean here.
