The NLDS heads to AT&T Park where the San Francisco Giants host the Washington Nationals in game three.
The Washington Nationals find themselves with their backs against the wall after a 2-1, 18 inning loss to San Francisco on Saturday has them staring at an 0-2 hole in the NLDS. Lost in the disappointment was an outstanding performance from Jordan Zimmermann who gave up a run on three hits over 8.2 frames. Seven relievers put up zeros before Tanner Roark served up a solo jack to Brandon Belt in the top of the 18th to absorb the loss. The Nationals totaled nine hits and four BB with Anthony Rendon driving in Asdrubal Cabrera with the lone run. Washington turns to Doug Fister for the game three start at San Francisco on Monday. In 25 outings in 2014 Fister has logged a 16-6 record with 2.41 ERA covering 164 innings of work.

The San Francisco Giants certainly didn't get a lot of offense in game two of the NLDS but the work on the mound was better then good. Because of the pitching the Giants now own a 2-0 series lead and can advance to the NLCS with a win at home on Monday. Veteran Tim Hudson held the Nationals to a run over 7.1 innings while seven relievers put up zeros with Yusmeiro Petit's six inning of one hit ball being the most impressive. Pablo Sandoval knocked in Joe Panik in the 9th and Brandon Belt went solo in the 18th as SF stole a crucial win. Left hander Madison Bumgarner faces the Washington Nationals looking to close out the NLDS. Bumgarner is coming in off of a complete game shutout in the Wild Card game.
The Giants have a fantastic oportunity to move on to the NLCS and that's something they don't want to waste. No line out yet so please check back but I'm leaning San Francisco...
