The Los Angeles Dodgers and St Louis Cardinals neet in game four of the NLDS Tuesday at Busch Stadium.
The Los Angeles Dodgers offense failed them Monday and the result was a 3-1 loss at St Louis and a 2-1 deficit in the NLDS. Hyun-Jin Ryu gave his team a chance with one run plated on a solo homer over six innings before Scott Elbert served up a two run homer to Kolton Wong in the 7th to get the loss. The Dodgers offense produced seven hits with Hanley Ramirez going 3-4 and driving in Yasiel Puig with the lone run. Veteran Dan Haren gets the call to the mound to face the St Louis Cardinals on Tuesday. Haren has ate up innings in 2014 with 13-11 record and an ERA around four over 32 starts.

The St Louis Cardinals moved to within a game of wrapping up the NLDS with the Dodgers following Monday's victory. Great pitching from veteran John Lackey held the Los Angeles offense in check while the bats played some power baseball. Lackey allowed the lone run over seven innings and recorded eight strikeouts to get the win. The Cardinals posted eleven hits and walked twice with Matt Carpenter smacking a solo homer with Kolten Wong connecting on a two run jack in the 7th to win it. The Cardinals are scheduled to start Shelby Miller in game four of the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Miller has posted a 10-9 record with a 3.74 ERA covering 31 outings.
I see that Clayton Kershaw might replace Haren for the Dodgers with the season on the line. If he does I'm not really interested on the short rest...
