The Line: New York Yankees -120 / Toronto Blue Jays +110 --- Over/Under: 7.5 See the Latest Odds

The Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees conclude their series in the Big Apple on Thursday.

The Toronto Blue Jays seemed to be heading towards a nice 2-0 start to the season before a late bullpen meltdown led to a 4-3 defeat. RA Dickey had his knuckleball working with a single run allowed on four hits and a trio of bases on balls over 6.1 frames before Aaron Loup gave up three runs in the 8th to absorb the loss. The Jays totaled seven hits and walked three times with Russell Martin and Devon Travis posting RBI’s with Travis also scoring. Overall Edwin Encarnacion and Travis posted two hits apiece with Jose Bautista walking three times. Left hander Daniel Norris Hopes to make an impact in the Blue Jays rotation when he gets his second career start Thursday. Norris made five appearances in 2014 with no record with a 5.40 ERA.

New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays - 4/9/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The New York Yankees looked dead in the water as they trailed visiting Toronto 3-1 in the 8th before a three run rally snatched victory from defeat. Michael Pineda kept his team in the game with a pair of runs given up on six hits and a base on balls while striking out six in a no decision effort. Dellin Betances was charged with an unearned run to give Toronto a two run bulge. The Yankees mustered seven hits and walked four times with Carlos Beltran, Brian McCann and Chase Headley driving in runs while Jacoby Ellsbury posted two hits and walked twice while scoring two times as well. Veteran lefty CC Sabathia gets the call to the mound in the final game of the series with Toronto on Thursday. Sabathia made just eight starts a season ago and went 3-4 with a 5.28 ERA.

Toronto are 5-17 in their last 22 games on grass and  2-6 in their last 8 road games while going 6-2 in their last 8 overall. The Yankees are  are 21-8 in their last 29 Thursday games and  are 14-5 in Sabathia’s last 19 Thursday’ starts while going 54-23 in Sabathia’s last 77 home starts. Head to head New York are 8-2 in Sabathia’s last 10 starts versus Toronto  while Toronto is 13-39 in the last 52 meetings in New York. I think Norris is a mystery and the Yankees are old so there is risk here…
