The Miami Marlins and the Atlanta Braves conclude their weekday series at Turner Field on Wednesday.

The Miami Marlins will be looking to string a few wins together when they battle Atlanta again on Wednesday. The Marlins were 8-2 winners Tuesday night with an early lead and great pitching carrying the day. Starter Tom Koehler gave up six hits and two solo homers over 5.1 frames to pick up the win with three relievers finishing the job. The Fish totaled eleven hits and walked six times with Giancarlo Stanton going 3-4 with four RBI’s and two runs scored while Dee Gordon and Ichiro Suzuki both score twice.Veteran Dan Haren toes the rubber against Atlanta in the final game of their series. Haren tossed a gem in his first outing with one run given up on a solo homer over six frames of a 10-9 win versus Tampa Bay but he did not get a decision.

Atlanta Braves vs. Miami Marlins - 4/15/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Braves got off to a surprising fast start and most are wondering if the winning ways going forward. The Braves took one on the chin against visiting Miami by an 8-2 count as they fell behind early and never recovered. Trevor Cahill took the loss with four runs plated on five hits and a trio of bases on balls in 2.1 frames. Sugar Ray Marimon gave up two runs through four innings while Andrew McKirahan gave up a pair of runs in two frames. The Braves managed eight hits and a pair of bases on balls with Freddie Freeman and AJ Pierzynski clubbing their second long balls of 2015. Left hander Eric Stults gets the ball Wednesday against visiting Miami. Stults is coming off of a 5-3 decision but did not figure in the win with three runs plated on seven hits including a pair of homers in five innings.

The under is 8-1 in Miami’s last nine as an underdog and the over is 7-1 in their last 8 games as a road favorite wile the Marlins are 2-8 in their last 10 games as an underdog. Atlanta are 8-1 in their last 9 overall and 8-1 in their last 9 games on grass while the Braves are 3-10 in their last 13 games as a favorite. Miami is 25-51 in the last 76 meetings. The Braves are needing to avoid a losing streak but I think Miami has a small edge in pitching which is what I’m looking at…
