The Los Angeles Dodgers travel to AT&T Park to take the field with the rival San Francisco Giants.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking like the top team in the National League West for now with seven consecutive victories where the arms and bats are contributing. The Dodgers completed a three game sweep of the Rockies with a 7-0 victory on Sunday. Brandon McCarthy made short work of the Rockies lineup with a three hit shutout over six frames while whiffing six. The LAD pounded out 14 hits and rode the long balls of Howie Kendrick, Scott Van Slyke and Joc Pederson who combined for six runs batted in. Brett Anderson will be shooting for his second win when he faces San Francisco on Tuesday. Anderson defeated Seattle 5-2 last time out with two runs plated (one earned) on six hits over five frames.

The defending World Champion San Francisco Giants have been painfully slow out of the gates at just 4-12 with defeats in nine of ten. The Giants failed to log back to back wins with a 5-1 loss at the hands of visiting Arizona on Sunday afternoon. Starter Tim Hudson fell to 0-2 in 2015 after allowing five runs on six hit while walking two and striking out six through five innings pitched to fall to 0-2. The Giants managed eight hits and posted a free pass with Angel Pagan cracking a sacrifice fly that scored Norichika Aoki for the lone run. Aoki, Brandon Belt and Brandon Crawford led the offense with a pair of hits each. Tim Lincecum hopes to get in the win column against division rival Los Angeles. Lincecum dropped a 4-2 decision to Colorado where he allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits in five innings.
The over is 23-8-2 in the Dodgers last 33 games as a favorite and 11-4 in their last 15 Tuesday games while Los Angeles are 31-13 in their last 44 Tuesday games. San Francisco are 1-9 in their last 10 overall and are 1-9 in their last 10 games on grass while going 1-7 in their last 8 games following a loss. The Giants are 7-2 in Lincecum last nine starts versus the Dodges with the over going 6-2-3 in the last 11 meetings. Lincecum has thrown the ball well in this match up but I’ll just back the hot team…
