The Los Angeles Angels and the Texas Rangers face off on Sunday at the Big A as the close out their MLB series of AL West teams.

Kole Calhoun had three hits, Grant Green had two hits, and Mike Trout and Albert Pujols and Mike Trout had hits as the Angels scored four runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher C.J. Wilson allowed seven hits and run while striking out four over 5.2 innings to not get a decision as Vinnie Pestano got the win and Huston Street earned his seventh save. The Texas Rangers continued their slide in the AL West standings as they fell to the Angels on Saturday. Elvis Andrus had two hits and Price Fielder and Adrian Beltre had hits as the rangers scored one run on eight hits. Starting pitcher Colby Lewis allowed four hits and two runs while striking out four over 5.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 1-2 for the season. For Sunday’s game the Rangers start Nicholas Martinez who has allowed 14 hits and one run while striking out nine over 20 innings for a 2-0 record and 0.45 ERA.
Los Angeles is 2-5 in game three of a series, 4-8 in their last 12 home games, and 1-5 in Santiago’s last six Sunday starts. Texas is 1-5 in their last six games, 3-9 after losing the first two games of a series, and 5-1 in Martinez’s last six starts. Texas is 2-6 in their last eight games in Los Angeles.
While the Angels have looked good this series Martinez has been big value money this season and I will ride him once again at a nice price.
