The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants face off on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium for game two of their MLB series of NL West teams.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are leading the NL west and they padded their lead on Monday getting the win against the Giants. Joe Pederson and Justin Turner each hit home runs and Adrian Gonzalez was among those with two hits as the Dodgers scored eight runs on 11 hits. Starting pitcher Brett Anderson allowed five hits and three runs while striking out three over 4.2 innings to not get a decision as Carlos Frias got the win. For Tuesday’s game the Dodgers start Clayton Kershaw who has allowed 25 hits and 11 earned runs while striking out 35 over 24.1 innings for a 1-1 record and 4.07 ERA.

Dodgers vs. Giants - 4/28/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco Giants road struggles this season continued on Monday as they lost to the Dodgers. Nori Aoki had two hits and Angel Pagan and Buster Posey were among those with hits as the Giants scored three runs on seven hits. Starting pitcher Tim Lincecum allowed eight hits and four runs while striking out two over 4.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 1-2 for the season. For Tuesday’s game the Giants start Madison Bumgarner who has allowed 28 hits and 12 earned runs while striking out 17 over 23.1 innings for a 1-1 record and a 4.63 ERA.

Los Angeles is 9-2 at home against a left-handed starter, 10-4 in their last 14 games, and 43-19 in Kershaw’s last 62 home starts. San Francisco is 4-1 as an underdog, 1-5 in their last six road games, and 19-7 in Bumgarner’s last 26 road starts. San Francisco is 9-5 in their last 14 games in Los Angeles.

We haven’t seen their best from either of these pitchers yet this season but I give the edge to Kershaw here to get it done at home.
