The Toronto Blue Jays look to get a win at Progressive Field against the Cleveland Indians.

The more I see of the Tonto Blue Jays the more I think they are a threat to the American League East. Despite their 9-4 loss at Progressive Field I still think that way although they didn’t look good on the mound. Veteran Mark Buehrle was hit hard with eight runs scored on eleven hits and a pair of free passes over 4.1 frames that dropped his record to 3-2. The bats totaled eight hits and four walks with Josh Donaldson going 2-3 with a homer and two runs while Kevin Pillar was 2-4 with a pair of RBI’s. Aaron Sanchez takes the mound in game two of their series at Progressive Field. Sanchez come off a 6-5 loss at Boston in his last outing with four runs scored (three earned) on five hits and seven K’s in 5.2 innings.

Cleveland Indians vs. Toronto Blue Jays - 5/2/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Cleveland Indians need more from their bats and arms to compete in the American League Central and received more then enough from the offense Friday to overcome a so, so night on the mound. Starter Carlos Carrasco allowed all four runs on six hits and a trio of BB through six innings which was good enough to get the win. The Tribe pounded out 13 hits and walked four times with the long ball taking center stage. Jason Kipnis went solo with Brett Hayes going deep with three RBI’s while Michael Brantley cracked his first and drove in two. Corey Kluber looks to rebound fro consecutive defeats when he challenges the heavy hitting Blue Jays Saturday. Kluber has allowed 12 runs on 23 hits covering 12.1 innings pitched.

The over is 6-2-1 in Toronto’s last 9 on grass while the Blue Jays are 8-3 in their last 11 Saturday games and  10-21 in their last 31 games on grass. Cleveland are 2-7 in their last 9 home games and the under is 12-4 in their last 16 Saturday games while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 home games. The under is 5-2-1 in the last 8 meetings while Toronto are 9-4 in the last 13 meetings in Cleveland. I’m going with Kluber who needs to bounce back and give his team the start of a hot streak…
