The Philadelphia Phillies continue their series at Turner Field against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.

The Philadelphia Phillies are still looking for their first hot streak to gain some momentum and hopefully climb out of the National League East basement. The hot streak has to wait another day to start after a 9-0 loss at Turner Field on Tuesday. Starter Chad Billingsley dropped his first outing of 2015 with six runs plated (five earned) on eight hits including two homers through five frame with Dustin McGowan allowing three runs in 1/3 of an inning. The offenses was quiet with three hits and a base on balls with Cesar Hernandez going 1-2 with a walk. Philadelphia goes with Jerome Williams on the bump who opposes the Braves for the second time in 2015. Williams defeated Atlanta 5-4 with three runs allowed on eight hits and two BB over five frames.

The Atlanta Braves have slowed somewhat since their hot start but they are still in the middle of the pack in the National League East. The Braves looked as good as ever with great pitching and hitting leading the way in Tuesday’s victory. Starter Shelby Miller tossed the best game of his young season with a complete game, three hit shutout with eight strikeouts. The Bravos racked up 12 hits and walked five times with Kelly Johnson going deep and driving in four while Freddie Freeman homered with a pair of RBI’s and two runs. Andrelton Simmons and Jonny Gomes each scored twice with seven players recording hits. Rookie Michael Foltynewicz toes the rubber for his second career start Wednesday. Foltynewicz won his major league debut 4-3 versus Cincinnati with all three runs plated (two earned) on six hits and three BB in five innings.

Philadelphia are 7-19 in their last 26 road games and are 18-37 in their last 55 Wednesday games. The over is 11-3-2 in Atlanta’s last 16 home games while the Braves are 4-12 in their last 16 games on grass and the over is 6-2-1 in ATL last 9 games as a favorite. The Phillies are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Atlanta. We don’t really know much about
