The Cleveland Indians are finding it difficult to find traction right now and it’s costing them in the standings. The Indians took another step in the wrong direction with Friday’s defeat that was a meltdown at the plate and on the mound. Starter Trevor Bauer was charged with five runs on nine hits through five frames with Nick Hagadone giving up three unearned runs in 1/3 of a frame. The Indians offense produced seven hits and walked three times with Michael Brantley smacking his third homer while Carlos Santana drove in a run and scored. Veteran left hander makes his first start with Cleveland when he opposes Minnesota Saturday. Chen appeared in 13 games in 2014 and went 2-4 with a 7.45 ERA over 48 innings pitched.
Minnesota are 7-1 in their last 8 overall and are 7-1 in their last 8 games on grass while going 3-8 in their last 11 Saturday games. The over is 8-0 in Cleveland’s last 8 games as a favorite and the over is 10-1 in their last 11 overall while going 10-1 in their last 11 on grass.
