The Los Angeles Angels play host to the Colorado Rockies in interleague action on Tuesday night.
The Colorado Rockies began 2014 fast and then slowed but need to rebound from a slow start in 2015. The Rockies are struggling in all areas and dropped number nine in a row after Sunday’s 9-4 defeat to the Dodgers. Jorge De La Rosa did not receive a decision with five runs plated on five hits and six BB over four frames while Scott Oberg and Boone Logan allowed two runs each. The Rockies totaled nine hits and walked four times with De La Rose rapping a two run single while Wilin Rosario and Rafael Ynoa posted two hits each. Kyle Kendrick draws Tuesday’s start for his first career meeting with the Angels. Kendrick’s first season in Colorado has been a struggle so far with 32 runs scored over his last five outings that has seen him allow ten homers.

The Los Angeles Angels look nothing like the defending American League West champions right now with wins in four of ten. However the Angels did knock of the division leading Astros twice over the weekend after Sunday’s 3-1 victory. Starter Garrett Richards improved to 3-1 with the lone run allowed on a hit and four walks while striking out ten through 6.2 innings while three reliever did not allow a runner. The offense didn’t crush the ball on six hits and a pair of free passes that saw David Freese and Erick Aybar go 2-3 with a run. Veteran left hander CJ Wilson looks to continue his hot pitching when he takes the hill versus visiting Colorado. Wilson did not get a decision in a 4-3 victory over Seattle where he allowed two runs on seven hits in seven frames.
Colorado are 1-10 in their last 11 overall and are 1-10 in their last 11 games on grass while going 13-47 in their last 60 road games and the over is 40-17-2 in LAA last 59 Tuesday games. The Angels are 14-3 in Wilson’s last 17 home starts while the over is 13-3 in Wilson’s last 16 Tuesday starts. I’m just going with the team who has the hot hurler going…
