The Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres face off on Saturday at Dodger Stadium for game two of their MLB series of NL West teams.

The Los Angeles Dodgers needed some late inning heroics to get it done but they beat the Padres on Friday in game one of their series. Joc Pederson had two hits including the game winning home run and Adrian Gonzalez and Andre Ethier had hits as the Dodgers scored two runs on six hits. Starting pitcher Zack Greinke allowed six hits and a run while striking out five over 7.2 innings to not get a decision as Chris Hatcher got the win and Kenley Jansen earned the save. For Saturday’s game the Dodgers start Michael Bolsinger who has allowed 13 hits and two runs while striking out 14 over 17.1 innings for a 2-0 record and a 1.04 ERA.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres - 5/23/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The San Diego Padres continued with their disappointing start getting beat late to fall to the Dodgers on Friday. Will Venable had two hits and Justin Upton and Derek Norris each had hits as the Padres scored one run on six hits. Starting pitcher Andrew Cashner allowed five hits and a run while striking out three over 6.0 innings to not get a decision as Joaquin Benoit took the loss. For Saturday’s game the Padres start Ian Kennedy who has allowed 31 hits and 22 runs while striking out 26 over 29.1 innings for a 2-3 record and a 6.75 ERA.

Los Angeles is 5-1 in game two of a series, 39-16 as a home favorite, and 37-17 against a right-handed starter. San Diego is 1-4 against a right-handed starter, 1-6 in their last seven games, and 2-5 in Kennedy’s last seven starts against a team with a winning record. San Diego is 2-6 in their last eight games against Los Angeles.

The total is set at 7.5 and I don’t see this being a slugfest so my free pick here is going to be on the under.
