The Philadelphia Phillies look to even their series with the Philadelphia Phillies Saturday.
The Colorado Rockies are playing their best baseball of the season but the question is will it continue. The Rockies are known for their bats but the pitching stole the show in a 4-1 win at Philadelphia for their 5th win in six contests. Starter Chad Bettis was untouchable with a two hit shutout over eight frames to up his record to 2-0. The offense collected seven hits and walked twice with Troy Tulowitzki slamming two homers with Ben Paulsen hitting a two run jack. Left hander Jorge De La Rosa gets the call to the hill at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday. De La Rosa fell to the Phillies last time out with three runs plated on five hits and three BB in 4.1 frames.

The once hot Philadelphia Phillies are running cold right now with last in the National League East staring them in the face. The Phillies got a little colder in Fridays defeat which was number five in a row. Ace Cole Hamels served up a pair of solo jacks through eight frames and struck out nine with Luis Garcia giving up a two run bomb in the 8th to put this one out of reach. The Phils offense managed a mere two hits with Ben Revere scoring an unearned run in the 9th. Aaron Harang looks to continue his torrid work on the mound when he faces Colorado for the second time. Harang comes off a 4-1defeat at Washington with a pair of runs allowed on seven hits over six innings.
Colorado are 17-52 in their last 69 road games while the over is 6-2 in their last 8 overall and is 6-2 in the Rockies last 8 on grass. The under is 7-3-1 in Philadelphia’s last 11 Saturday games. The over is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings and Colorado are 15-38 in the last 53 meetings. I’m a Phillies fan and they are just bad so take this with a grain of salt…
