The Houston Astros look for another victory at Minute Maid Park against the Chicago White Sox.
The Chicago White Sox had been showing some signs of warming up as winners in three of four before suffering a 3-0 defeat at Minute Maid Park on Saturday afternoon. Jose Quintana fell to 2-6 despite allowing a single run on five hits and four bases on balls over 6.1 frames with Dan Jennings serving up a pair of solo jacks in the 8th. The White Sox managed four hits and struck out eleven times in a very quiet day at the plate. Left hander John Danks look to right the ship from some recent struggles when he faces Houston. In back to back losses Danks was charged with eleven runs on 13 hits and five BB over 10.1 innings.

The Houston Astros have been suffering through a bit of a slowdown and need to get back to their winning ways to avoid losing more ground in the American League West. The Astros got back on the winning track behind the arm of Dallas Keuchel who tossed a four hit complete game with eleven strikeouts to up his record to 7-1. The Stros totaled eight hits and four walks with Evan Gattis and Chris Carter smacking solo homers. Roberto Hernandez has alternated good and bad starts the last several times out and it was bad last time. Hernandez was charged with seven runs on nine hits and three BB in a 10-8 win at Detroit.
The over is 8-1-1 in Chicago’s last 10 Sunday games and the White Sox are 8-3 in their last 11 road games while the under is 7-3 in their last 10 on grass. Houston are 7-2 in their last 9 home games. I don’t think each hurler has been great to back lately so perhaps the tough home team…
