The Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers conclude their series at Coors Field on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are trying to stay a few steps ahead of San Francisco in the National League West. The Dodgers rallied from an 8-5 hole with a four run 9th to squeeze out a 9-8 victory. Starter Zack Greinke had nothing with five runs plated on ten hits over six frames with the pen giving up three runs. The Dodgers racked up 13 hits with Joc Pederson, Enrique Hernandez, Adrian Gonzalez and Alex Guerrero connecting on long balls with Guerrero’s 9th inning grand slam winning it. The Dodgers are scheduled to start Michael Bolsinger who faces the Rockies for the second time in 2015. Bolsinger comes off of a tough 3-0 defeat at St Louis with two runs plated on seven hits and three BB over six frames.

The Colorado Rockies are trying to rally from a poor start that has them trailing San Francisco and Los Angeles by a sizeable margin in the National League West. The Rockies had won seven of nine before squandering a late lead in Tuesday’s defeat. Blame this on the pitching with starter David Hale allowing four runs on three homers through six frames before Rafael Betancourt serving up a 9th inning grand slam to absorb the defeat. The Rockies pounded out 15 hits and walked twice with Troy Tulowitzki slamming a two run bomb while Nick Hundley went 3-4 with three runs and two RBI’s. Brandon Barnes also went 3-4 with two RBI’s and a run with every starter recording a hit. Chad Bettis takes the ball in the final game of the series with the visiting Dodgers. Bettis is coming off the best outing of his career with a two hit shutout over eight innings of a 4-1 win at Philadelphia.
The under is 7-1 in the Dodgers last 8 road games and is 7-2 in their last 9 vs. National League West while going 2-6 in their last 8 road games. The over is 13-4 in the last 17 meetings and Los Angeles are 20-7 in the last 27 meetings. This looks dead even and I’m not sure Bolsinger is worth the price…
