The Baltimore Orioles look to break in to the win column at Progressive Field against the Cleveland Indians.
The losing streaks are more numerous and longer for the Baltimore Orioles which many didn’t expect. The Orioles two game winning streak never reached three because of a 2-1 loss at Progressive Field. The offense wasted a great effort on the mound from Ubaldo Jimenez who gave up a run on six hits and six free passes over five frames. The bats produced six hits and walked twice with Manny Machado going 2-4 with a solo homer while the lineup struck out 12 times. The Orioles turn to veteran Bud Norris to control the dangerous Indians Sunday. Norris absorbed a 6-2 road loss to the Yankees with four runs given up over just 3.1 innings pitched.

The Cleveland Indians seem to have picked up the pace in the American League Central as they try to make the division a four team race. The Indians knocked off the visiting Orioles behind great pitching from Danny Salazar. Salazar gave up the lone run on a solo jack through seven frames while striking out ten. The Tribe mustered seven hits and eight walks with Carlos Santana driving in a run and scoring while Nick Swisher went 2-3 with a walk and knocked in a run. Cleveland is slated to send Carlos Carrasco to the bump for his first meeting with Baltimore in 2015. Carrasco has been on a roll the past three times out with a combined four runs allowed over 21 frames.
Baltimore are 4-14 in their last 18 road games and the under is 23-9-2 in their last 34 overall while going 41-17-2 in their last 60 road games. The over is 9-2 in Cleveland’s last 11 Sunday games and Cleveland are 12-5 in their last 17 overall and are 12-5 in their last 17 games on grass. I’m an Orioles fan and they can’t hit a lick and send BP pitcher Norris out which means they should get crushed…
