The New York Mets lost to the Braves on Saturday taking their fourth loss in a row. Curtis Granderson and Travis d’Arnaud each hit home runs and Lucas Duda had a hit as the Mets scored four runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher Noah Synergaard allowed six hits and four runs, three earned, to not get a decision as Jack Leathersich took the loss to fall to 0-1 for the season. For Sunday’s game the Mets start Matt Harvey who has allowed 73 hits and 32 earned runs while striking out 88 over 86.2 innings for a 7-4 record and a 3.32 ERA.
Atlanta is 6-2 against the NL East, 3-7 in their last 10 games with the total set at 6.5 or lower, and 5-2 in Teheran’s last seven home starts. New York is 5-1 in Sunday games, 21-11 against the NL West, and 1-4 in Harvey’s last five starts as a road favorite. New York is 6-3 in the last nine meetings of these two.
Harvey looked to be himself in his last start, something he hasn’t looked like often recently and Teheran is just a much better pitcher at home than on the road making this a tough choice but I will go with the hotter team at home as a dog.
