The Colorado Rockies didn’t get a lotof offense on Tuesday but it was enough to get the win as they won in Oakland. Troy Tulowitzki, Charlie Blackmon, and Wilin Rosario each had hits as the Rockies scored two runs on seven hits. Starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa allowed four hits and struck out four over 7.0 innings to get the win and go to 5-3 for the season and LaTroy Hawkins earned his second save. For Wednesday’s game the Rockies start Chad Bettis who has allowed 52 hits and 22 earned runs while striking out 46 over 55.2 innings for a 4-2 record and a 3.56 ERA.
Oakland is 5-1 in game three of a series, 19-8 against the NL West, and 4-1 in Hahn’s last five starts. Colorado is 7-13 in their last 20 games, 23-60 in their last 83 road games, and 7-2 in Bettis’ last nine starts. Colorado is 1-4 in the last five meetings of these two.
It’s tough to have a lot of confidence in either of these teams but Hahn has been the better of these two pitchers recently and the Rockies have never been much of a road team.
