The Baltimore Orioles will be looking for some offense when they take the field with the Chicago White Sox on Sunday.
The Baltimore Orioles were flying high just a week ago but things have taken a turn for the worse since. The Orioles have lost five of six after a 3-2 defeat to the White Sox on the road. Starter Chris Till man only allowed two runs but was in constant trouble with ten hits and a walk allowed over 4.2 innings. The offense failed to get going on four hits and a pair of walks with Manny Machado providing the only spark with a two run homer that scored Ryan Flaherty. Baltimore is slated to send Bud Norris to the hill on Sunday to oppose the White Sox. Norris will be looking to rebound from an 8-1 loss to the Rangers where he allowed five runs on nine hits including four homers in six frames.

The Chicago White Sox haven’t given up on the season as they look to get hot heading in to the All Star break. The White Sox have done well over the past two weeks with Saturday’s win being their 7th in eleven contests. Jeff Samardzija was in control on the mound with a run allowed on three hits while striking out nine with Zach Putman surrendering a homer. Chicago logged eleven hits and walked twice with Melky Cabrera, Avisail Garcia and JB Shuck knocking in runs with Jose Abreu scoring twice. Left hander Chris Sale gets the ball for the second time against the Orioles this season. Sale has been dialed in on the strike zone with double digit strikeouts in eight consecutive outings.
The under is 6-1-1 in Baltimore’s last 8 overall and is 6-1-1 in their last 8 on grass. The under is 24-6-1 in Chicago’s last 31 home games while the over is 10-4-1 in their last 15 Sunday games and is 5-2-2 in their last 9 overall. The under is 6-1-1 in the last 8 meetings in Chicago and is 15-5-2 in the last 22 meetings. Right or wrong I have to go with one of the best in the game with Sale…
