The Toronto Blue Jays look to get their offense going against the Chicago White Sox in a Wednesday tilt.
The Toronto Blue Jays are sometimes difficult to nail down but I do know they can be really hot or really cold. It’s been more of the latter lately as the Blue Jays had dropped seven of ten before squeezing by the White Sox 2-1 on Tuesday. Felix Doubront’s first start of the season was a good one with the lone run scored on six hits over 6.2 frames to win his first. The Jays scratched out five hits and a base on balls with Josh Donaldson smacking his 21st homer while Jose Bautista knocked in Jose Reyes. The Blue Jays hand the ball to Drew Hutchison for Wednesday’s start at the White Sox. Hutchison was hit hard in an 8-6 loss at Detroit where he gave up seven runs on ten hits over 4.2 frames.

The Chicago White Sox haven’t done much to this point in the season but might be on the verge of making a run in the American League Central. The White Sox took a step in the wrong direction on Tuesday as the bats were silent and a terrific performance on the mound went by the wayside. Starter Jose Quintana fell to 4-8 with both runs given up on four hits through eight innings. The offense mustered seven hits and walked once with Carlos Sanchez rapping an RBI single that scored Gordon Beckham who doubled. Left hander John Danks is looking for consecutive victories when he opposes the heavy hitting Blue Jays. Danks comes off of a 1-0 win versus Baltimore where he tossed a five hit shutout over seven innings.
The under is 8-1-2 in Toronto’s last 11 Wednesday games and the Blue Jays are 13-6 in their last 19 games as a favorite while the over is 21-10-3 in their last 34 on grass. The under is 26-7-1 in Chicago’s last 34 home games while the White Sox are 3-10 in their last 13 games as an underdog and the under is 5-2-1 in Chicago’s last 8 Wednesday games. Not my favorite game because of the pitching but the Jays have hit left handers so maybe they get something going…
