The Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers collide at Miller Park in a Wednesday afternoon tilt..
The Atlanta Braves still harbor hopes of capturing the National League East which is still possible if they can limit losing streaks. The Braves have been doing just that with a 4-3 victory Tuesday giving them wins in six of seven. Rookie Manuel Banuelos won his first career game with a solo homer served up over 5.1 frames with the pen making things uncomfortable. The Bravos logged ten hits and a pair of free passes with AJ Pierzynski going 3-4 with a homer and two RBI’s while Cameron Maybin and Nick Markakis knocked in runs. Julio Teheran shoots for another strong performance on the mound versus the Brewers on Wednesday. Teheran defeated Philadelphia 2-1 last time out with an unearned run plated on seven hits in seven frames.

The Milwaukee Brewers are red hot and need to stay that way if they have any hope of making a run in the National League Central. With Tuesday’s defeat the Brewers have now lost consecutive contests after winning eight in a row. Rookie Tyler Cravy gave up three runs on eight hits through six innings to fall to 0-2. The Brew Crew did their damage on eight hits and four bases on balls with Adam Lind and Jonathan Lucroy leaving the yard while Shane Peterson doubled in Khris Davis. Mike Fiers toes the rubber for the Brewers for the second time against the Braves this season. Fiers knocked off Cincinnati 12-1 last time out with three hits and a pair of BB allowed over seven scoreless frames.
The under is 9-2 in Atlanta’s last 11 games as an underdog while the Braves are 2-6 in their last 8 road games and the over is 8-0 in Teheran’s last 8 road starts. Milwaukee are 8-1 in their last 9 overall and are 8-1 in their last 9 games on grass while the Brewers are 2-6 in their last 8 Wednesday games. The under is 10-4-1 in the last 15 meetings. Mike Fiers has been hot and going against him might be pushing the envelope but the price is great…
