The battle for the Windy City continues when the White Sox clash with the Cubs at Wrigley Field on Saturday.
The Chicago White Sox have been picking up the pace lately but need to stay hot to make a run in the American League Central. The White Sox opened their series with their city rivals with a 1-0 victory on Friday behind outstanding work on the mound. Starter Carlos Rodon gave up two hits but walked six over six scoreless frames with three relievers holding the Cubs at bay. The offense logged just five hits with JB Shuck smacking a sacrifice fly to score Emilio Bonifacio in the 8th. Chris Sale opposes the Cubs for the first time in his career on Saturday. Sale is coming off a complete game effort in a 4-2 victory against the Blue Jays with both runs scoring on solo homers.

The Chicago Cubs are right in the middle of the National League Central race with a nice hot streak carrying them the past two weeks. The Cubs came up short in game one of their series despite great pitching. Starter Kyle Hendricks was at the top of his game with five hits allowed through seven shutout innings for a no decision. Hector Rondon allowed the lone run in the 8th to absorb the loss and that was too much for the bats to overcome on their three hits and seven bases on balls. Addison Russell walked three times and Anthony Rizzo drew a pair of free passes. Jon Lester looks to get back in the win column when he faces the White Sox on Saturday. Lester suffered a 6-0 defeat to St Louis last time out with two unearned runs allowed over eight innings.
The over is 5-1-2 in CWS last 8 road games while the White Sox are 7-2 in their last 9 overall and 7-2 in their last 9 games on grass. The under is 10-4 in the Cubs last 14 home games while the Cubs are 7-3 in their last 10 overall and 7-3 in their last 10 games on grass. The under is 9-2-1 in the last 12 meetings and the White Sox are 10-4 in the last 14 meetings. This could easily go either way but Sale at these odds is too good to pass up for a small play…
