The Baltimore Orioles shoot for another win at Tropicana Field against Tampa Bay on Sunday.
The Baltimore Orioles are struggling to find their offense and the pitching hasn’t been enough to put games in the win column. The Orioles received plenty of both in Saturday’s 5-1 victory versus the Rays that ended a four game slide. Starter Miguel Gonzalez was at the top of his game with a solo homer allowed over 7.2 innings to get the win. The offense totaled seven hits with Chris Davis clubbing a third inning grand slam while David Lough went 2-4 and scored twice. Lefty Wei-Yin Chen takes the mound versus for the 4th time on the season. Chen comes off of a 3-2 loss at the Yankees with all three runs allowed on ten hits in 6.1 innings of work

The Tampa Bay Rays are struggling to score runs and the wins have been tough to come by. The Rays struggled again at the plate Saturday and the result has been losses in four of six. The pitching also had issue with starter Erasmo Ramirez charged with all five runs on seven hits through 7.1 frames with a grand slam in the 3rd inning sealing his fate. The Tampa Bay offense consisted of five hits with Curt Casili slamming his third homer of the season. Matt More is slated to make his 5th start of the year since coming off the disabled list. Moore struggled early in a 5-3 defeat at Philadelphia last time out with four runs plated on five hits and a trio of BB over 4.2 frames.
The under is 12-3-1 in Chen’s last 16 road starts while Baltimore are 2-7 in Chen’s last 9 starts on astroturf with the under going 34-15-2 in Chen’s last 51 starts overall. The under is 7-1-2 in Tampa Bay’s last 10 overall while the Rays are 2-6 in their last 8 games as a favorite and 7-15 in their last 22 overall. The under is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings. I’m going with the Orioles and hope they can score once again…
