The Toronto Blue Jays battle the Kansas City Royals in game two of their series on Saturday.
The Kansas City Royals are getting their pitching and hitting on the same page more often then not and the result is a lot of winning. The Royals have slipped a bit in recent days with three straight defeats after Friday’s 7-6’ eleven inning loss at Toronto. Johnny Cueto gave up three runs in six frames for a ND when Ryan Madson allowed three runs without recording an out with Franklin Morales allowing the winner in the 11th. KC received two Rbi’s each from Kendrys Moralys and Ben Zobrist while Lorenzo Cain and Eric Hosmer each scored twice. Yordano Ventura shoots for back to back victories when he faces the Blue Jays on Saturday. Ventura comes off of a 5-1 win against Houston with the lone run plated on six hits in seven frames.

The Toronto Blue Jays have made a few moves to bolster their roster and now we’ll see if the moves bear fruit. The Blue Jays have won three in a row and are hoping the good times continue. The team survived a shaky outing from starter Drew Hutchison who was charged with four runs (three earned) through five innings for a no decision. The offense came up big with 15 hits and three walks with Josh Donaldson driving in three while Troy Tulowitzki and Ryan Goins scoring twice. Veteran left hander Mark Buehrle will be on the bump to oppose Kansas City for the second time on the season. Buerhle was hit hard last time out in a 6-5 loss at Seattle with three runs scored on ten hits over 5.2 innings.
The under is 9-2-2 in Kansas City’s last 13 Saturday games and is 7-2-1 in their last 10 overall while going 6-2-1 in the Royals last 9 games as an underdog. Toronto are 19-9 in their last 28 home games and are 21-10 in their last 31 games on astroturf while the under is 13-1-2 in Buehrle’s last 16 Saturday starts. The under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Toronto while Kansas City are 12-27 in the last 39 meetings in Toronto. The edge is razor thin here but I’ll with the Jays…
