The Chicago Cubs won for the fourth consecutive time as they beat the Brewers in Milwaukee on Saturday. Kyle Schwarber and Anthony Rizzo each hit home runs and Jorge Soler added a hit as the Cubs scored four runs on five hits. Starting pitcher Kyle Hendricks allowed four hits and a run while striking out six over 7.0 innings to get the win and go to 5-5 for the season and Tommy Hunter earned the save. For Sunday’s game the Cubs start Clayton Richard who has allowed 19 hits and nine runs while striking out six over 15 innings for a 1-0 record and a 5.40 ERA.
Milwaukee is 18-38 in game four of a series, 6-3 in their last nine games against the NL Central, and 0-4 in Lohse’s last four starts. Chicago is 5-1 in their last six road games, 5-1 against a team with a losing record, and 0-4 in Lohse’s last four starts. Chicago is 13-29 in their last 42 games in Milwaukee.
The Brewers seem to have lost the steam they had and while I don’t love this one I see the Cubs getting the win again here.
