The Philadelphia Phillies look to get back in the win column with a win at the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Philadelphia Phillies headed to Miller Park with a 17-7 record after the All Star break. Make that 17-8 after the Philies fell to the Brewers 3-0 in the series opener. Starter Adam Morgan threw the ball well with all three runs given up on three hits over six innings. The Phils Mustered eight hits with Chase Utley going 3-4 with a double but the offense never got the bats going. The Phillies turn to veteran Jerome Williams who faces the Brewers for the first time since 2013. Williams comes off of a 5-3 win at San Diego where he gave up a run on five hits in seven frames.

The Milwaukee Brewers are hoping to end the year strong and head in to the offseason with some confidence. The Brewers had lost five of six before their pitching carried them to a win in the series opener. Starter Wily Peralta was dominant with a six hit shutout through seven frames to get the win while the bats did their damage on four hits with Khris Davis going deep while Jean Segura drove in a run and scored. Jimmy Nelson comes off of a 5-4 win against the Cardinals which snapped a string of three consecutive shutouts. Nelson allowed all four runs on eight hits and whiffed eight over seven innings.
Philadelphia are 16-6 in their last 22 games on grass and are 17-7 in their last 24 overall while going 22-48 in their last 70 road games. Milwaukee are 4-9 in their last 13 Saturday games. Not much to choose from here but the Brewers have done well in this match up…
