The Tampa Bay Rays look for another win at Minute Maid Park against the Houston Astros.
The Tampa Bay Rays are trying to reach .500 and perhaps make a move for a Wild Card. The Rays snapped a three game skid with a 9-2 victory at Houston on Monday. Erasmo Ramirez gave up both runs on six hits over 5.2 frames to pup the win. TB racked up 15 hits and walked four times with Tim Beckham launching a three run bomb with Asdrubal Cabrera and Curt Casali combining for five RBI’s while three players scored two runs each. Jake Orodizzi toes the rubber against the Astros for the second time on the season. Odorizzi did not look good in a 9-6 win versus Atlanta with all six runs plated on nine hits in six frames.

The Houston Astros are looking to protect their lead in the American League West and expand it. The Astros took one on the chin Monday night as a red hot Scott Kazmir struggled. Kazmir was charged with six runs on nine hits and a trio of free passes through 5.1 innings with Oliver Perez allowing three runs in the 9th. The Stros totaled seven hits and walked three times with Evan Gattis going 2-3 with a homer and a walk while Carlos Gomez singled and scored. Scott Feldman is scheduled to be on the hill to oppose Tampa Bay on Tuesday night. Feldman comes off a 2-0 victory at San Francisco where he tossed a four hit shutout over six frames.
The over is 9-2-2 in Tampa Bay’s last 13 Tuesday games and is 11-4-2 in their last 17 on grass while going 8-3-1 in their last 12 games as an underdog. Houston are 38-14 in their last 52 home games. Tampa Bay are 10-2 in the last 12 meetings in Houston and the under is 19-7-2 in the last 28 meetings. I lean Tampa Bay and hope they can be depended on which has been an issue…
