The Los Angeles Angels and the Chicago White Sox face off on Tuesday in Anaheim for game two of their MLB series.
The Los Angele Angels have been sinking in the standings in the AL West but they at least regained their footing with a win on Monday. Albert Pujols and C.J. Cron each hit home runs and Carlos Perez had a hit as the Angels scored two runs on four hits. Starting pitcher Andrew Heaney allowed five hits and a run while striking out four over 6.0 innings to not get a decision as Fernando Salas got the win and Huston Street earned his 28th save. For Tuesday’s game the Angels start Garrett Richards who has allowed 124 hits and 47 earned runs while striking out 113 over 142 innings for an 11-9 record and a 3.55 ERA.

The Chicago White Sox couldn’t take advantage of their limited chances on Monday as they took the loss against the Angels. Avisail Garcia had two hits and Adam Eaton and Trayce Thompson each had hits as the White Sox scored one run on six hits. Starting pitcher Carlos Rondon allowed four hits and two runs while striking out five over 8.0 innings to take the loss and fall to 5-5 for the season. For Tuesday’s game the White Sox start John Danks who has allowed 141 hits and 65 earned runs while striking out 91 over 127.2 innings for a 6-9 record and a 4.58 ERA.
Los Angeles is 5-1 in their last six home games, 3-6 in their last nine games, and 25-10 in Richards’ last 35 home starts. Chicago is 16-6 against the AL West, 3-8 against a right-handed starter, and 6-2 in Danks’ last eight starts. Chicago is 0-7 in their last seven games in Los Angeles.
Danks has been facing off against the best and he has been holding his own and I expect for him to do it here.
