The Los Angeles Dodgers look for a win at Minute Maid Park against the Houston Astros.
The Los Angeles Dodgers lead the National League West but they had better learn to win on the road. The road struggles continued in a 3-0 defeat at Minute Maid Park for their third consecutive loss. Starter Brett Anderson gave up all three runs on seven hits including a pair of homers over six frames but his performance was over shadowed by his offense which was no hit and mustered just three free passes. Cy Young candidate Zack Greinke shoots for his 4th straight win when he opposes the Astros on the road Saturday. Greinke has been dominant with a 13-2 record with a 1.58 ERA.

The Houston Astros are an unlikely leader of the American League West but they can not afford to let their guard down. The offense didn’t do much Friday but didn’t have to as Mike Fiers tossed a complete game no hit shutout. The Astros logged seven hits with Jake Marisnick going 2-3 with a homer and a pair of runs knocked in while Evan Gattis smacked a solo homer for his 19th of the season while Chris Carter scored. Left hander Scott Kazmir looks to get back on the winning track when he opposes the Dodgers Saturday. Overall Kazmir has gone just 6-8 despite a sparkling 2.43 ERA over 23 starts.
The over is 9-4 in the Dodgers last 13 on grass and is 9-4 in their last 13 overall while the under is 10-3 in Greinke’s last 13 on grass. Houston are 1-10 in their last 11 Saturday games and are 8-2 in their last 10 interleague games while the under is 7-2 in their last 9 on grass. Los Angeles are 8-2 in the last 10 meetings. Backing the Dodgers on the road is scary because they can be awful on the road…
