Masahiro Tanaka held the Bravos to three runs on five hits over seven frames to up his record to 10-6. The offense saw Didi Gregorius and Brian McCann leave the yard and combine for ten RBI’s while Chase Headley drove in three. Rookie Luis Severino makes his 5th start of the season when he takes the hill versus the Braves. Severino comes off his first career win in a 6-2 decision against Cleveland with a run scored in six frames.

The Atlanta Braves have been fading for awhile and things haven’t been improving. The Braves have lost ten of eleven following Friday’s series opening defeat where nothing went favorably. Starter Williams Perez was charged with eight runs in 1.2 frames with Andrew McKirahan allowing four more. The Bravos couldn’t keep pace with their seven hit, three walk attack that featured a homer and a pair of runs driven in by Freddie Freeman. Atlanta is slated to send Matt Wisler to bump against the visiting Yankees on Saturday.
