The Atlanta Braves and the New York Yankees face off on Sunday at Turner Field as they close out their MLB interleague series.

The New York Yankees moved closer to a post-season spot as they knocked off the Braves on Saturday. Jacoby Ellsbury, Brian McCann, and Chase Headley each had hits as the Yankees scored three runs on six hits. Starting pitcher Luis Severino allowed four hits and struck out five over 6.0 scoreless innings to get the win and raise his record to 2-2 for the season and Andrew Miller earned his 28th save. For Sunday’s game the Yankees start Nathan Eovaldi who has allowed 162 hits and 64 earned runs while striking out 107 over 144 innings for a 13-2 record and a 4.00 ERA.
Atlanta is 19-41 in their last 60 games, 8-21 as an interleague underdog, and 6-1 in Teheran’s last seven Sunday starts. New York is 6-1 in their last seven road games, 6-2 against the NL East, and 6-0 in Eovaldi’s last six road starts. New York has won their last eight games in Atlanta.
The Yankees are just the better team and I like them to prove that once again.
