The Texas Rangers look to stay in the playoff conversation when they visit the San Diego Padres.
The Texas Rangers are trying to keep the pressure on Houston in the American League West. The Rangers did just that with a 6-0 win versus Baltimore with great efforts in all phases. Starter Derek Holland was at the top of his game with a complete game three hitter while whiffing eleven. The offense totaled eleven hits and walked three times with Delino DeShields Jr., Adrian Beltre and Elvis Andrus driving in runs and scoring. The Rangers open the series with Colby Lewis on the hill who opposes San Diego for the second time in 2015. Lewis will be looking to bounce back from a 12-4 loss to Toronto where he allowed five runs on six hits and four BB in five frames.

The Padres are slated to start Tyson Ross for the second time against the Rangers. Ross comes off of a 6-5 decision at Washington where he gave up four runs on six hits over 6.1 frames.
