The Baltimore Orioles travel to the Rogers Centre to face the red hot Toronto Blue Jays.

The slumping Baltimore Orioles have gone from a playoff team to one that is trying to reach .500. The Orioles picked up a rare win by a 7-6 count in eleven innings against Tampa Bay but are still on a 2-12 run. Starter Kevin Gausman lasted 2.1 innings with four runs given up on eight hits that forced six relievers in to action. The Birds offense added nine hits and three free passes with Chris Davis going deep twice with three RBI’swhile Jonathan Schoop smacked a two run bomb. The Orioles send Ubaldo Jimenez to the hill to face the Blue Jays for the 4th time in 2015. Jimenez is coming off of a 4-3 loss at Texas where he gave up four runs on eight hits and three BB in 5.2 frames.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles - 9/4/15 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Blue Jays are proving to be difficult to catch right now as winners in eight of ten after downing Cleveland 5-1 on Wednesday. The Blue Jays put everything together with RA Dickey tossing a complete game four hitter with no walks and six K’s. The Jays logged nine hits and a trio of free passes with Josh Donaldson going 3-4 with three RBI’s and two runs while Troy  Tulowitzki knocked in two with Ben Revere scoring twice. The Blue Jays go with Drew Hutchison on the mound in Friday’s series opener with Baltimore. Hutchison has been at his best the last three times out with a 3-0 record and 1.74 ERA.

Baltimore are 3-13 in their last 16 overall and the under is 6-2-1 in their last 9 on astroturf while the over is 6-2-1 in their last 9 games following a win. Toronto are 23-5 in their last 28 overall while the under is 8-2 in their last 10 on astroturf and  is 8-2 in their last 10 home games. Baltimore are 20-48 in their last 68 meetings in Toronto. I have to go with the hot club here, right or wrong…
