The Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox butt heads at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday.
It’s too little, too late for the Clevelnd Indians who have been playing well but are still chasing .500. The Indians had won seven of ten before cooling down for a night in a 7-4 loss at the White Sox. Starter Carlos Carrasco gave up for runs on four hits and a trio of BB while Ryan Webb gave up two. The bats couldn’t keep up on eight hits with Michael Brantley clubbing a two run homer while Jose Ramirez connected on a solo jack. Josh Tomlin looks to stay hot when he makes his 6th start of the season against the White Sox. Tomlin is coming off his best start in recent memory with a complete game 8-1 win at Detroit.

The Chicago White Sox have enjoyed a little surge but whether it continues is something that we’ll have to wait and see. The White Sox continued their winning ways Tuesday and have won five of six overall behind great hitting and starting pitching. Carlos Rodon allowed a single run on five hits through seven innings. The White Sox saw Jose Abreu homer and drive in two with a pair of runs while Rob Brantly clubbed a three run bomb. A struggling Jeff Samardzija looks to right the ship against the visiting Indians. Over his last three outings Samardzija has gone 1-2 with 7.13 ERA and 1.70 WHIP covering 17.1 innings.
The under is 8-1 in Cleveland’s last 9 road games and the Indians are 8-1 in their last 9 games on grass while the over is 7-2 in their last 9 games as a favorite. The over is 28-12 in Chicago’s last 40 overall and is 28-12 in their last 40 on grass while going 8-1 in Samardzija’s last 9 starts on grass. The under is 14-2 in the last 16 meetings in Chicago and is 24-4 in the last 28 meetings. This is a tough one but Samardzija has had great success against the Indians…
