The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their hot play as they beat the Angels on Tuesday. Justin Ruggiano hit a home run, Corey Seager had two hits, and Chase Utley had a hit as the Dodgers scored six runs on seven hits. Starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw allowed four hits and two runs while striking out eight over 7.0 innings to get the win and raise his record to 13-6 for the season and Kenley Jansen earned his 31st save. For Wednesday’s game the Dodgers stat Mat Latos who has allowed 30 hits and 17 earned runs while striking out 16 over 23.1 innings for a 0-2 record and a 6.56 ERA.
The Angels are 37-16 as a hone favorite, 2-7 in their last nine home games, and 8-1 in Richard’s last nine interleague starts. The Dodgers are 13-2 in their last 15 games, 19-7 in game three of a series, and 1-5 in their last six interleague games. The Dodgers have won their last eight games against the Angels.
It is tough for me to take the Angels as a favorite these days but not as tough as it is for me to put one dime of my hard earned money on Mat Latos.
