The Texas Rangers continued their hot play as they moved to within a game of the lead in the AL West with a win on Tuesday. Shin-Soo Choo, Mitch Moreland, Rougned Odor, and Joey Gallo each hit home runs as the Rangers scored nine runs on eight hits. Starting pitcher Cole Hamels allowed eight hits and four runs while striking out three over 7.0 innings to get the win and raise his record to 3-1 for the season and Shawn Tolleson earned his 31st save. For Wednesday’s game the Rangers start martin Perez who has allowed 57 hits and 28 earned runs while striking out 28 over 49.2 innings for a 2-4 record and a 5.07 ERA.
Seattle is 6-1 in their last seven games as a favorite, 5-11 in their last 16 games against a left-handed starter, and 1-5 in their last six hoe games against a left-handed starter. Texas is 9-3 in their last 12 games, 8-3 in their last 11 road games, and 7-1 in Perez’s last eight road starts against a team with a losing record. Texas has won Perez’s last four starts against Seattle.
I just can’t go against the Rangers these days as they just keep on winning and they win here again.
