The Toronto Blue Jays shoot for another road win versus the New York Yankees Saturday.
The Toronto Blue Jays lead the American League East and have their fate in their own hands. The Blue Jays have won two of three after an 11-5 win at the Yankees on Friday. David Price got the win with two runs given up over five frames with LaTroy Hawkins allowing three. The Blue Jays rode the power game with Josh Donaldson, Justin Smoak, Edwin Encarnacion going deep while Russell Martin clubbed a pair of bombs. Marco Estrada makes his 4th start of the season against the rival Yankees Saturday. Estrada has won back to back outings with a combined four runs plated on seven hits and five BB in 12 frames.

The New York Yankees are trying to stay in the American League East race but need to avoid a losing streak. The Yankees have now dropped three in a row following Friday’s defpeat where the pitching struggled. Rookie Luis Sev;erino was charged with six runs through 2.1 innings with three relievers allowing five runs. The Bronx Bombers posted nine hits with Didi Gregorius going deep and driving in four but he needed help. Michael Pineda takes the ball for his third start against the Blue Jays in game two of their series. Pineda gave up four runs in an 8-6 victory against the Orioles with four runs allowed on six hits in six innings.
The over is 9-2 in Toronto’s last 11 road games and is 9-2 in their last 11 on grass while the Blue Jays are 10-4 in their last 14 road games. Toronto are 15-37 in the last 52 meetings in New York. I’m just going with the hotter team that also is leading the division…
