The New York Yankees look to pick up a game in the standings with a win at the Toronto Blue Jays Wednesday.

The Yankees have been hovering around the .500 mark the last few weeks and picked up a much needed 6-4, ten inning win at Toronto Tuesday. Luis Severino gave up two runs over six frames with Andrew Miller allowing two runs to blow the save before ironically getting the win. The Bronx Bombers logged 12 hits with Gregory Byrd going deep and driving in three while Carlos Beltran homered and drove in two. USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Blue Jays know one more hot streak would likely be enough to wrap up the American League East. The Blue Jays have lost some opportunities the past week or so and after Tuesday’s defeat the team has been saddled with losses in three of four. Starter Marco Estrada allowed two runs through 6.2 innings with Mark Lowe absorbing the loss with three runs given up in the 10th. Th Blue Jays played the power game with Edwin Encarnacion, Dioner Navarro and Kevin Pillar connecting on long balls. The Blue Jays turn to Marcus Stroman for his second start versus the Yankees in 2015. Stroman comes off of a 6-1 win versus the Red Sox with a run plated on six hits in seven innings.

The under is 9-1 in New York’s last 10 on astroturf and  is 7-2 in their last 9 Wednesday games while the Yankees  are 12-5 in their last 17 road games. The over is 9-1-1 in Toronto’s last 11 Wednesday games and Toronto are 6-2 in their last 8 Wednesday games while going  37-15 in their last 52 overall. The under is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings. Toronto had better put the division away soon or risk trouble…
