The Brew Crew totaled nine hits and walked three times with Hernan Perez doubling in a pair of runs while Jason Rogers drove in a run and scoring. Rookie Ariel Pena makes his 4th start of the season and second versus the Cardinals. Pena threw the ball well in an 8-4 win versus the Reds with two runs scored on four hits in five frames.

The St Louis Cardinals appear to be heading in to the last few weeks with a full head of steam. The Redbirds moved a step closer to wrapping up another National League Central crown with their 9th win in eleven games. Starter Michael Wacha upped his record to 17-6 with three runs given upon six hits through five innings. The Cards hammered out 12 hits and walked three times with Jhonny Peralta going deep and driving in three while Stephen Piscotty went 3-4 with a long ball and four RBI’s. The Cardinals are scheduled to send Carlos Martinez to the hill to oppose the Brewers for the third time in 2015. Martinez was strong in a 4-3 win versus the Cubs with a pair of runs plated in 6.2 innings.
